Scientific models. Reproducible software. Results you can check.

I'm a mechanical engineer and software developer working across numerical modeling, computational mechanics and scientific AI evaluation. My current Kepler project work includes coupled thermal models, numerical verification and scientific benchmark prototypes.

I build command-line workflows with Python, NumPy and SciPy, compare calculations with reference solutions, and document the assumptions and limits behind each result.

Current project work

Kepler · Scientific Computing

Computational physics prototypes built around explicit models, reference calculations and verifiable outputs.

Coupled thermal modeling

A conducting slab coupled to Al–Zr cluster kinetics, with thermal and chemical history carried between processing and service.

Numerical verification

Independent solver comparisons, conservation checks, selected resolution refinements and automated tests of command-line inputs and outputs.

Scientific AI evaluation

Reference checks for AI-generated solutions, including generalized eigenvalue problems, repeated modes and directional sensitivity.

Current applications focus on materials physics and mechanics. Heat transport and numerical validation provide methodological overlap with geophysical and environmental modeling. These prototypes use synthetic inputs and have stated scientific and execution limits.

Core philosophy

Engineering Principles

From scientific calculations to interactive software, I build around explicit assumptions, reproducible behavior and checks against known results.

⚙️
C++ firstGameplay logic in C++; Blueprints wire data and visuals.
📊
Data-driven designTuning lives in Data Assets and tables, never in magic numbers.
🎲
DeterminismSeeded randomness and replayable state, so bugs can be reproduced.
🧪
Verified, not assumedReference tests, tolerances and property tests before every commit.
⏱️
Frame budget60 fps as a requirement, measured with profiling rather than guesswork.
🌐
Server authorityClients send intent; the server validates it and replicates the result.
🧩
Separation of concernsRules engines stay independent of rendering and UI.
📝
Honest historySmall commits that explain why. AI assistance is credited, never hidden.

Behind the code

Trained in mechanics.
Driven by questions.

My background in mechanics shapes how I build scientific and production software: define the model, make assumptions explicit, check against known answers, and measure behavior. Kepler gives that approach a practical focus in numerical modeling and scientific evaluation.
